Appreciating a Good Guitar Case
As of late, I have been living between residences and one thing I’ve come to appreciate greatly is my guitar case. If you don’t have a guitar case, it’s probably something you should invest in, especially if you travel a lot. There are different kinds of cases, such as soft cloth or hard cases; mine is a normal cloth case that came with my guitar. One thing I love about it is it has a zipper pocket – perfect for keeping my music books, a pen, and a couple of other miscellaneous guitar-related items.
Whether you get a hard or soft case depends on many factors. For example, if you travel far distances (air travel for example), the climate (if it’s really hot where you live), personal preference, or if you consider your guitar an investment or an experiment. Since I don’t take my guitar on flights, I prefer a soft case for many reasons including the pockets, the shoulder/backpack strap, light weight, and space-saving aspects. Whatever type of case you decide to get is a situational decision, so do your research and see what works best for you!
