Goyte & Walk Off the Earth – 2 Takes on Somebody That I Used to Know
Goyte Lead Singer has a great song out “Somebody That I Use To Know” Even though musically the chord structure has 3 very simple chords it has a great hook and reminds me of Sting. You can tell that Sting and Peter Gabriel were major influences but he has delivered a number one hit in England. In San Francisco Bay Area its getting lots of air play on K-FOG. The tune grows on you and very catchy.
Kimba, singing with him, has great vocal chops an d she has her own alternative album Vows and check out Settle Down. I give 5 star rating on Goyte as singer and songwriter for alternative rock.
